Cell PowerTM WAP Interface Guide for Credit Card Transactions for Prepaid Electricity |
This guide explains how to use your cellphone and credit card to purchase prepaid electricity tokens. The following initial steps are required in order to use this service:
1. You must have a WAP- and GPRS-enabled cellphone.
2. You must be subscribed to your service provider's GPRS service. Please contact your GSM service provide in order to establish whether you are subscribed for this service, and how to configure your cellphone. Alternatively, consult the GPRS instructions below.
3. Once you have subscribed to your service provider's GPRS service, configure the following bookmark under the Web/Internet settings on your phone:
Bookmark Name: Cell Power
Bookmark Address: http://cellpower.polokwane.gov.za
Once you have configured the above bookmark, go to the bookmark from your cellphone to use the service, following the instructions below.

Activate SIM · Call 111 · Select Option 3 · Select Option 2 · Press “0” and then ask operator to activate SIM. · Dial 114 for Vodago Customer Service. · Usually available after 24 hours.

Cell-C:
GPRS Settings · SMS “Smartdata” to 084 155 9911 · You will receive a welcome SMS. · You will also receive an Activation MMS. Reply “Yes”. · You will receive a SMS with GPRS settings. Save GPRS settings. · Switch off phone. · Switch on phone. · Dial 140 for Cell-C customer Service.
NOTE: Cell-C pre-paid currently only allows connection to the Cell-C website and no other website. |

Step 2: Specify Your Prepaid Electricity Meter Number Select the Purchase request from the menu, and enter your electricity METER number. Select Go. |

Step 3: Specify the Purchase Amount and Credit Card Details
The response message displays: · the Meter number for which electricity will be purchased. · the Arrears outstanding for the meter, if implemented as a policy at the installation, which will be deducted from the value of electricity sales. · the Minimum and Maximum allowed transaction size. · the Customer Name. · the number of days since the Last Purchase. · the levy that will be deducted from the purchase amount.
Now enter the: · Purchase Amount (twice as a confirmation), · Credit Card Holder Name as it appears on your credit card, · Credit Card Number, · Card Expiry Date (MMYYYY), and the · CVV security code (the three-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of the card). Select Go.

Step 4: Purchase Confirmation The confirmation response displays the cost-breakdown of the purchase amount, which comprises the value of the electricity token and commission/service fees. Select Confirm. |

Step 5: Purchase Response The response message contains the electricity Token, the number of electricity Units and the Value of electricity purchased, and the total Purchase Amount of the transaction. The difference between the electricity token value and the purchase amount is the Cell Power service fee. The response message also contains a Transaction ID, a unique number which can be used to identify and trace the transaction for customer service purposes. Please retain the Transaction ID until the electricity token has been redeemed. |

Request Reprint To reprint the output from a previous transaction, select the Reprint request from the menu, and enter your electricity METER number. If you want to reprint the LAST token purchased, select GO. OR If you want to reprint the token purchased during some other transaction in the past, enter the Transaction ID for that transaction. and select Go. |

Receive Reprinted Token The response message contains the reprint of the electricity token purchased during the specified prior transaction. |
