Executive Mayor’ Service
Excellence Awards are highly
esteemed and coveted awards
bestowed only in instance where
a Directorate, Strategic
Business Unit (SBU) and an
Individual have distinguished
themselves through
accomplishments and service
delivery and when these
contributions are significant or
of such magnitude that only this
form of recognition would be
commensurate with the
significance of the
contribution.
The
Awards are managed by the Office
of the Municipal Manager with
the involvement of the other
Directorates and sponsors.
The Awards are aimed at
promoting good governance and
accountability within the
Municipality, to inculcate the
spirit of sharing best practices
and deliver excellence service
within Polokwane Municipality.
To promote individual excellence
and commitment amongst municipal
employees, encourage the spirit
of pro-activeness,
innovativeness, creativeness and
passion of work. To encourage
improved productivity levels and
quality service in the Municipal
administration, to recognize
directorate, teams and
individual efforts in improving
service delivery. The awards are
also aimed at creating the
spirit of optimal utilization of
resources and recognizing and
rewarding planned and
sustainable performance
achievement, which fully align
and cascade in the municipality
and the holistic Performance
Management System
implementation.
The nomination criteria focuses
mainly on exceptional creativity
and innovation in implementing
programmes/projects, superior
responsiveness and customer
service-going an extra mile in
delivering services, clear
dedication to high standards and
continually contributing to a
positive work environment. |
