Polokwane Municipality will as from Friday, 24 December 2009, scale services downs as most employees will be taking time off during the Festive Season. Municipal Offices will be operating with a skeletal staff component that will be rendering essential services like electricity, water and sanitation services. Residents are also reminded to make their payments in time so that they should not experience any inconvenience with provision during the Festive Season. Normal services will therefore resume as from Monday, 04 January 2010. Meanwhile, Municipal employees will on Friday, 18 December 2009 convene at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium for a tour of the new stadium. This will also affect services rendered on the day, as most of the officials will not be at their work stations. However, a plan has been put in place so that the day’s activities should not affect the process of rendering effective services.
