We have been eagerly anticipating the visitors and excitement the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ games will bring to our city, and now we welcome you!

We are proud to be one of the Host Cities for the World Cup™, and with our state of the art Peter Mokaba Stadium, we are ready to stage the games, and host different nations of the world. Our roads infrastructure, airport, telecommunications infrastructure, and our people are ready. We welcome you to the City of Polokwane!

The unique characteristics of the City of Polokwane are a reflection of how a City so rich with natural magnificence and people power can rise above the challenge of hosting an event of such magnitude as the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. It is our aim to create a better, sustainable quality of life for our people, especially our youth, who are the future decision makers.

As the people Polokwane, we are blessed and happy to host eight nations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. The City of Polokwane welcomes Algeria, Slovenia, France, Mexico, Greece, Argentina, Paraguay and New Zealand.
