Officers of the Polokwane
Municipality jointly with members of
the South African Police Services
SAPS will be intensifying their
campaigns to eradicate drunkenness
while driving amongst motorists.
This is part of an operation dubbed
‘Booze’ which saw a number of
roadblocks being erected on major
entries of the Polokwane and
Mankweng locations. This has
resulted in a number of motorists
being summoned and detained for
various offences. |

ENERGY SAVING FORUM TO DISCUSS ENERGY SAVING
WITH 50 KEY CUSTOMERS |

Polokwane Municipality in
conjunction with Eskom will hold a
Business Energy Saving Forum on
13 August 2008 (14h00) at SAB to
discuss energy saving with 50 key
customers. The City of Polokwane
must reduce consumption to 10% as
required by the targets set by DME.

The Executive
Mayor of Polokwane, Thabo Makunyane
offically handed over a new fleet of 10
vehicles to the traffic officials. The
vehicles have been branded in line with the
city's new brand identity. The fleet is the
first of the 20 vehicles that are expected. |
