Traffic officials on the alert

Traffic Officers of the Polokwane Municipality jointly with members of the South African Police Services SAPS will be intensifying their campaigns to eradicate drunkenness while driving amongst motorists. This is part of an operation dubbed ‘Booze’ which saw a number of roadblocks being erected on major entries of the Polokwane and Mankweng locations. This has resulted in a number of motorists being summoned and detained for various offences.

The Executive Mayor of Polokwane, Thabo Makunyane offically handed over a new fleet of 10 vehicles to the traffic officials. The vehicles have been branded in line with the city's new brand identity. The fleet is the first of the 20 vehicles that are expected.
